The Youth Forum is extraordinary; they are changing the lives of young people, particularly those who have been in care or who have had to cope with homelessness. One of their most ambitious ventures was to design and build Ty Cyfle – transition housing for young people leaving care. Apprenticeships were set up to provide training (and jobs); they designed the interiors, set up the systems and management structures, and developed peer training ‘Own 2 Feet’ to help young people make a success of their first home. Transition housing failure rates were running at 61%. Success rates are now at 100%. Find out more in the Co-production Catalogue.
